Founding Engineer

Co-architect and ship the core of the neww.ai operating system. Full ownership across the runtime, agent layer, data fabric, and the verticals built on top.

About the role

neww.ai is building a unified AI operating system that turns conversation into real execution across 30 vertical products. As Founding Engineer you sit next to the founder, design the hardest pieces, and write the code that the rest of the team builds on. This is an in-person role at our San Francisco office — daily whiteboard, daily ship.

What you'll do

Own end-to-end architecture across runtime, agents, data, and platform
Land the foundational systems: AI router, engine registry, planner, memory
Set the engineering bar — code review standards, deploy cadence, on-call
Recruit and ramp the next 4 founding engineers
Ship to production every day

What you bring

7+ years shipping production systems end-to-end
Deep full-stack range: TypeScript/React + Python + Postgres + cloud
Has built large-scale production systems
Comfort defining architecture under uncertainty and reversing course fast
Operates without process — you are the process

Nice to have

Prior founding or tech-lead experience
Built agent / RAG / multi-model systems in production
GCP fluency (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Tasks)

Compensation

Founding-level equity with meaningful ownership, plus competitive cash. Calibrated on first call.
